CLERGY ASSISTANT ROLE
Purpose of the Position:
• The Clergy and Religious School assistant provides administrative assistance and support to the Rabbi, Cantor and Religious School.
• The person in this position will be a representative of Temple Concord.

• Should have a high degree of organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks on a daily basis in a fast-paced work environment.
• Must have strong interpersonal communication skills and be able to communicate with congregants with sensitivity and discretion.

• Team player who can and will collaborate and provide coverage for colleagues in times of heavy workflow
• Solid organizational skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• A keen eye for detail and accuracy
• Comfortable with Microsoft Office suite, Good Drive and willing to learn additional software systems
• Knowledge of Judaism and Jewish rituals are a plus.
Skills:
• Computer literacy for current office software or willing and able to receive training.
• Is well-organized and able to work independently and as part of a team
• Good personal interaction skills on the phone and in-person
• Possesses effective oral and written communication skills
• Performs and completes tasks in a timely and thorough manner
• Ability to properly compose a letter, memorandum and summary report, using correct formatting, spelling and grammar

RELIGIOUS SCHOOL ASSISTANT ROLE
The Religious School Assistant works directly with the Education Director, and is the “face of the school.” This position includes on-site assistance during Sunday morning Religious School classes.
